电影的节奏很慢，并没有极强的故事性，开始会觉得有点无趣，但看进去又觉得滋味无穷。繁琐复杂、慢慢吞吞的茶道程序磨练的不仅是学习者的技艺，更是耐心。周作人说：“茶道的意思，用平凡的话来说，可以称作为忙里偷闲，苦中作乐，在不完全现实中享受一点美与和谐，在刹那间体会永久。”这也许就是典子最后说的：“雨天听雨，雪天赏雪；夏天感受暑热，冬天体悟刺骨的寒冷。”影片以四时节气串联，在寒来暑往的花草树木中写下：日日是好日。
